Contemporary Art Membership Platform (CAMP) is a member-led support and professional development network for artists, arts producers, arts curators and arts writers in Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
WHO ARE CAMP?
CAMP is you, the members! CAMP members can shape the activity and direction of CAMP by contributing on the network; by participating in KIN groups; by coming to CAMP monthly meetings; joining a working group; becoming a co-director; or organising and attending events.
HOW IS CAMP ORGANISED?
CAMP is a Community Interest Company (CIC) led by a team of five to eight voluntary co-directors. The current co-directors are:
Jacob Brandon
Heather Burwell
Jane Jobling
Mark Leahy
James Morgan
Olivia Parsons
Josie Purcell
Charlotte Squire
They are supported by part-time paid staff:
a freelance Programme and Finance Coordinator, Anna Gilroy who works 3 days per month.
and a freelance Finance Officer
CAMP members belong to a number of KIN Groups. These are a way of meeting other CAMP members who are working in a related medium, or in a local area. They are self organising groups managed by a Host or Hosts.
At the moment there are ten KIN groups that meet regularly: 3D and Sculpture KIN, Drawing KIN, East Cornwall KIN, Edu KIN, Exeter Peer Support KIN, Graduates' KIN, Eco KIN, Plymouth KIN, Print KIN, and Writers KIN.
If you are interested in joining any of these groups, please contact the host of the group on the CAMP Network or if you cannot see who is host, then email CAMP admin.
We have also set of Working Groups to help the smooth running of the CAMP programme and membership:
Making Things Happen
Gathering Resources & Development
Member Care
Members are invited to join these groups to help develop CAMP activity, to gain experience and support the co-directors.
